AWS instance billing

OceanBase Cloud instances on AWS use a Shared Nothing architecture and currently support pay-as-you-go billing only. You are charged for actual usage by the hour. Prices shown on this page are for reference only; your actual charges may differ from the prices shown here.

Note

Monthly cost estimates are calculated based on 730 hours per month and are for estimation purposes only. Actual charges are available in the Billing module in the OceanBase Cloud console.

Billing formula

  • Hourly instance cost = Compute node cost + Storage capacity cost + Storage IOPS cost
  • Storage capacity cost = Storage unit price ($/GiB/hr) × Number of replicas × Storage capacity (GiB)
  • Storage IOPS cost = IOPS unit price ($/hr) × Number of replicas

Billing example

The following example shows the hourly cost for an instance with Shared Nothing architecture deployed in Asia Pacific (Singapore), with a 4 vCPUs 16 GiB specification, 3 replicas, and 50 GiB of storage, billed on a pay-as-you-go basis:

Compute node cost Asia Pacific (Singapore), 4 vCPUs 16 GiB, 3 replicas $1.932072
Storage capacity cost $0.000150 × 3 replicas × 50 GiB $0.022500
Storage IOPS cost $0.185800 × 3 replicas $0.557400
Hourly total
$2.511972 ≈ $1,833.74 / month (730 hrs)

Pricing details

Note
  • Starting prices are calculated using the minimum storage capacity for each instance size, and include storage capacity and IOPS costs.
  • Flagship Edition and Transactional instance specifications correspond to each other (for example, Flagship Edition 8 vCPUs 32 GiB corresponds to Transactional 8 vCPUs 16 GiB). Both share the same price.

Prices vary by region. Select the region where your instance is deployed.
